HEAR THE GOSPEL!

BECOMING A CHRISTIAN:

   We believe that it is by grace that we are saved, through our response of faith believing that He sacrificially died for the penalty of our sin and that He was raised from the dead by the power of God.  Every person capable of faith is called by God to accept Jesus as Savior, repent of sin and turn their life toward God, make a confession of faith in Jesus as Lord, and be joined to Christ and His church by receiving baptism (immersion).  When we make this response of faith, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to live in us and empower us to live for Jesus. All who come to faith may request baptism at any time.

Communion:

   We observe this memorial of Christ's death and resurrection every Sunday and welcome all believers to participate.

Offering:

   In response to god's gifts, members offer financial support for God's mission.  Guests are not expected to give, but are welcome to do so.

Becoming A Member of the Montwood Church of Christ:

   All believers who by faith in Jesus have received baptism are welcome to membership.  This places one under the spiritual care of our leaders and commits one to service and full participation in the family of God at this place.

Responding:

  After each sermon, we offer an invitation at which time you may request baptism, seek prayers on your behalf, or request membership by going to the front.  If you wish, you may indicate your desires on a Communication Card, or ask to speak with a minister or elder of the congregation at any time.
